when you are injured on the job, you are requred to report it to your supervisor within 24 hrs. he/she files a report and that goes to the work comp insurance, you go to the DR asap, then insurance contacts you, you fill out the report, so keep records of how/ when injured time/date dr appts etc. insurance should pay 100% DR bills and any medication, if you are out for more than 14 days, you will get a % of your regular pay, usually about 68%
