I believe Desmond Haynes and Gordon Grennidge of West Indies were the best opening pair the game of cricket has seen so far. They dominated every bowling attack including that of Lillee and Thompson, Imran & Sarfaraz, Hadlee and all others played in that era. Once Imran Khan said Grennidge is a butcher who never forgives any one.
