Part of its O Line, and part of its him. He doesn't get hit that often because of blocking and hes probably the quickest in the league at reading a defense and getting the ball off. You also can't discount luck. You can't play in the NFL without getting planted every once in a while. He just hasn't gotten hurt when it happened.

I'm a die hard Colts fan and to let all of you know, his offensive line is about 80% not 100%. Not the best in the league, but in the top 5 or 6 maybe. The reason is simple. He can read the defense and gets rid of the ball quicker than anyone in the NFL. It's a fact and any offensive line will do him good. He is the reason he stays healthy more than anything else.

Like everyone else said he has a fantastic O-Line

He was only sacked 14 times last year.

Jon Kitna was sacked more than anyone in the league ... 63 times

Yet Kitna was the only QB in the NFL to take every snap for his team. So maybe the real question is how the hell did Jon Kitna stay healthy?

He has had a great offensive line and does not take chances outside of the pocket. Rarely do you see Manning pull the ball down and try to run for a 1st down or TD. Also, he is good at scouting the defense and finding the seam or the hot route for his receiver before the ball is snapped or audibling to a run.

It is not only the line that keeps him healthy. He reads defenses so well and has an exceptionally quick release. They also mix in a good amount of the running game so that defenses can not simply tee off on him.

?
he doesnt get hit. his offensive line has been solid all decade. long time left tackle tarik glenn retired this offseason and this could shake things up.
but peyton has many weapons and the skills to use them. he rifles off passes both long and short better than anyone else allowing him to avoid out of pocket maulings.

we should really be asking what is it that makes david carr so durable????

He has a great offensive line and can get rid of the ball relatively quickly, so he's not touched all that often.

Simply because his head is so gigantic that 25 percent of his brain is dedicated to regeneration and he has a clone of himself growing in his bathtub, and when his brain is too overloaded from injuries and plays he just becomes plain inefficient. Also he drinks that gatorade rain that releases all kinds of good crap in his system.

Highly paid offensive line that do their job and block for him and protect him. I wish someone would find their kink in the armor though
