Homemade buttermilk ice cream? My friends mother makes it and they say it is really good. I have never tried it. I don't like buttermilk. Have you ever heard of it? Have you tried it?

Not buttermilk ice cream but, I love buttermilk pies! They are wonderful!

I have never heard of it, but if given the chance I would try it. I wold be willing to bet it doesn't even taste like buttermilk. I don't like buttermilk either, but I eat buttermilk pancakes,pound cake, and pie. You ought go give it a try.

Sounds fantastic...suspect it has a tartness to it along with the sweet...get the mix and let us know. I love buttermilk, but when used in cakes, etc., you don't know it is buttermilk...it has a richness that adds fullness to the cakes I have used it in.

Go ahead and try it, its great. I don't like buttermilk either but you will never believe there is buttermilk in there if they hadn't told you.
Kinda like green tomato pie. Tastes just like green apple pie, but who would have thought?

That sounds sort of like frozen yogurt.
