Probably emphasis on education, parental tyranny when it comes to getting good grades and ambition.

chinese. they are successful wherever they will migrate because of their cunning business minded.
oppsite with filipinos because even though there are filipinos enywhere in the world but only as a domestic helper, nurse, or other low-income jobs. though nurse is not a low-income profession.

Chinese and Jews, Chinese because they always support each other in business and Jews because they believe that where ever they are they are one as a nation and therefore will always support each other
