i have a road runner cable, it says it has 5mbps but i feel like it only has 1.5 to 4mbps depends to daytime or nightime. road runner is pretty unstable in ny, i decided to get fios but it's not available for the place i live, so i'm getting a verizon DSL which is 3mbps, i just wanna know if the dsl is more stable than road runner?

That sucks FIOS isn't available there -- its pretty sweet.
I had good luck wiht RoadRunner ...never used Verizon DSL but I would imagine its comparable. What speed is their DSL?

Yes. DSL is not affected by how many people are in your vicinity and using it, as cable is affected by that. You will enjoy the dsl. Go for it.
