Code snippet to uniquely identify a file based on the timestamp?

I must generate a set of files with the same name and I want to append a timestamp to each of the file names (the Timestamp must be all numbers). Any ideas to it?

You'll have to be more specific than that. What language are you writing in? VB? C++? The timestamp mechanism will differ depending on that.

Umm...if you're appending different timestamps to files with the same name, they will no longer have the same name so wouldn't this defeat the purpose of having files of the same name?
