The weirder you are going to behave, the more normal you should look. It works in reverse, too. When I see a kid with three or four rings in his nose, I know there is absolutely nothing extraordinary about that person.

well... you never know unless you talk to the person.
each person has something extraordinary about him or her. it's up to you to decide if you want to invest your time in finding that thing out.
it's not the appearance that makes one ordinary or not... it's their insides.

I think it's true that appearances are deceptive, often. I have met a lot of ordinary-looking people who can only be described as weird. Pictures of Osama bin Laden show such an innocent face. It is a warning to take care when forming friendships or other relationships as you go through life, but no-one is going to live without making mistakes!

Not always. But some of the sickest serial killers used their average looks and dress to blend in to be able to kill repeatedly. Why is this strategy effective for them? Because 99.99% of the people they were dressing like weren't serial killers. I do think that in today's world there are more people with body piercings and tatoos who now live according to the norms of society and don't do anything that is too outrageous.
