What makes you think ghosts are responsible for anything? What makes you think ghosts exist at all?

I've never seen a ghost. I've never seen any convincing evidence that convinces me ghosts exist. I have seen nothing else that requires the belief in supernatural creatures and forces. I see plenty of reasons why people would want to believe in life after death. All of this convinces me that ghosts don't exist and that they were created and sustained by wishful thinking.

As with almost anything in life, there is never a 100 percent truth or correct answer. We know very little about the world around us. With that said natural causes that have been speculated to be reported as paranormal phenomena, have included and are not limited to:

Bad electrical wiring ( high levels of EMF or electro-magnetic field are hypothesized to be dangerous to the human body and to have a sometimes hallucinegenic effect ), Loose or old plumbing ( can account for a lot of loud thumps and or banging noises purported as spirit activity ), Moisture and Dust ( in my opinion 85-90 percent of "orb" photography is either a dust particle, moisture bead or other environmental pollutant ), Reflections and Refractions of light, Cold breath and Cigarette smoke ( sometimes mistaken as ectoplasmic mist ).

Not to mention the condition known as pareidolia, which is essentially making something from nothing. Humanity as a whole, we are continually striving to seek out knowledge, be it in topics of life, the afterlife or other.

Other medical diagnosis that have been attributed to certain phenomenon are Hypno ( Hypna ) gogia and Sleep Paralysis. Both of which occur while the affected person is asleep or upon waking. These conditions can be frightening for the individuals involved as well as confusing. Common symptoms can include auditory sensations, visual sensations, hallucinations, sensing of a presence, feeling of dread, depression, feeling of being "weighted" down or paralyzed, etc..

I hope that any possible answers that I have given to your question are helpful in which ever way you may need them to be.

Some people belileve that paranormal activity is due to demonic presenses. Sometimes it is thought that there are portals leading to another world and that evil spirits can come through. People also believe that natural spirits can cause paranormal activity, such as "tree spirits". It all depends on the beliefs.

Paranormal is a broad umbrella term and includes cryptozoology (bigfoot, loch ness monster), psychokinesis, ESP, UFOs, and many other phenomena that is not yet understood (sometimes not even studied) by science.

Why doesn't anyone ever seem to try for natural causes first! They wouldn't have to look any further!
