Does anyone know if Benson and Stabler finally got together or are there any reports of them hooking up in the future?

They came very close to having something happen, but they didn't. They didn't want to ruin the great partnership or friendship they have together. They are in sync with one another, and they both know it's hard to find that

I feel that would be a very bad idea. It's true that most shows go belly-up once the stars are put together - anyone remember Moonlighting with Bruce Willis? Besides, I don't like shows that glorify sex in the workplace because it's generally a bad idea, and even if you don't get disciplined for it, that are usually bad ramifications. Let Stabler stay with his family, and let Benson get a boyfriend.

For Benson's sake i hope Stabler really goes to his psychiatrist, straightens himself out and becomes a true husband and father.

i am a big big fan of SVU but i dont think that stabler and benson would look good togheter. they are more like brother and sister

That will be the death of the show.
Whenever the two star begin TV dating most shows just go into a deep decline and get cancelled.

He went back to his wife! It's not like they would make a good couple anyways. They are too different people and don't need to be together.
