XBOX 360 Elite or Playstation 3?

I have been trying to decide on which one of these consoles to get and im stuck. I wanna get one of them but im not sure which one is better. I was hoping that some of you can give me some advice. What are the advantages to both of them. The only thing I know is at the moment the XBOX elite is 50 dollars cheaper but is it worth the extra 50 dollars to get a PS3? I have been quite loyal to the Playstation cause i bought 1 and 2 when they first came out but was just wondering if XBOX Elite is better. Anyway let me know your opinion on which I should go with?

elite is so much better and i did the same thing as you
i got ps1 and ps2 but decided to get an elite and
i think i made the right choice because online is great,
and dowloadable stuff is way better the ps3, and there are
so many great games to pick from it took me like 10
minutes to deicide plus there will be a lot of good games
coming out soon like bio shock and HALO 3 grand theft 4
army of two ect ect so do your self a favor and get the elite!

Well I would personally go with a PS3. The 50 difference is a little enticing until you realize the xbox 360 doesnt come with an hd player build in. If you want to see movies in hidef you have to spend anywherte from 100-150 more. PS3 comes with a built in blu ray player. The Xbox 360 does have more games out right now true, but the games for the PS3 are going to start coming out soon. Games like Metal Gear and of course the Final Fantasy are for now and most likely will remain PS3 exclusives. So in conclusion PS3 just seems like the better deal ten fold. =D

If you bought the PS1 and PS2, to me, it only makes sense to buy a Playstation 3. With the PS3, at least you will be able to play your old PS1 and PS2 games on it. I also bought the PS1 and PS2 and got the PS3 about a month after they came out. Also, almost everyone knows about the high defective rate of the Xbox 360 (red ring of death).

With Sony, at least you are familiar with the games. And to me, Sony has more diversity in it's game production. Most of the 360's big games are just shooters like Halo and Gears of War. The extra $50 bucks for the PS3 to me is a no brainer because the extra processing power is worth it. That's like buying a car with a V6 engine and having the option to upgrade to a V12 engine for just $200 bucks more or something. I say go for the PS3.

I'd go with the 360. I dont have either but i have played both and the PS3 bored me to tears. Also the PS3 games aren't all that appealing to me.. It really depends on the games tho.
