The Bible.
I loved reading it (and still do!) because:
#1. It shows me how blessed I am.
#2. It provides me with insight about my life and it's extremely interesting in the Old Testament when it talks about the past.
#3. It was written by God-infused men and it inspires and encourages me to press on.

The Vampire Lestat, when the movie came out, I read it over 50 times. U should try that, Lestat's voice is arresting and u can really picture what he is going thru. And Tale of the body thief
I love horror from Rice, Jim Butcher and Simon r Greene, Amelia altwater rhodes.
Angel by Cliff Mcnish is also beautiful!
Fantasies there are many like the Switchers, The mermaid story (can't remember the exact title, it's based on king arthur's story), Isobelle carmody The Scatterlings, Vivian Vande V. (funny stories)

the best books i ever read was all of the harry potter books, because when i read them i can imagine it very well, and its so creative.
when i read a book i look for something that's easy for me to visualize. and it cannot be boring, it has to keep me awake, and make me want to read more, where i cannot put the book down

EINSTEIN'S DREAMS, by Alan Lightman, is the most imaginative book I have read since GREEN EGGS AND HAM! This little book (everyone should read and own a copy!) is a journey through undiscovered territory-- across the dreamscapes of the greatest mind of the modern era, AND one of the most original and timeless pieces of literature ever written in English.
The main body of the book consists of dated journal entries. In these short chapters Lightman asks readers to suppose that the dimension we call time is circular, static, dualistic, running backward, mutable, latitudinal, altitudinal, corporeal, non-existent, and so on... These sometimes whimsical, sometimes sinister chapters are interspersed with narrative scenes involving the daily struggles of a young patent clerk whose only passion is physics. He dreams of the various structures of time and records them in his journal.
This fictionalized Einstein should go down as one of the great protagonists of American fiction: he is perplexed, he is fallible, he is as normal in one breath as he is oddball in the next-- in short, he is human AND he is divine. Just like you and me. Just like everyone.
This book is brilliantly conceived and executed, and Lightman, an astrophysics & writing professor at MIT, should be lauded for his warm-yet-unflinching style.

The Stand by Stephen King. Its a classic tale of good versus evil set in modern times. The good in Mother Abigail and her party in Boulder Co and the Bad in the Walking Dude and company in Las Vegas. Terrific ending.
