I accidentally erased all my work files from my mac book pro and emptied my recycle bin, is there any way for me to recover those files?

nop, onli if they had leopard earlier
then you could just use time machine
just so you know recycle bin is the last line of defence before you delete completly off you system.

how would u accidentally delete ur important work files and empty the recycle bin ? just wondering
that being said yes u can retrieve thoses files, they are still on the hard drive until the head crosses it again. unfortunately, all the free data retrieval programs i know are windows only. like this one:
