One great theater program for teenagers is Circle Theater's Emerging Young Artists program in Forest Park, not to far away from the city. They put on a few shows a year, and the productions are quite good. I just did a show there this summer and had a blast. Check out the website: http://circle-theatre.org/index.html

Another is the Theatre of Western Springs. They put on excellent productions year round and have amazing classes for kids of all ages. The programs are great and really teach you a lot about theater. You can also volunteer to help with running productions to see how the behind the scenes part of theater works. The website is: http://www.theatrewesternsprings.com/

Hope this helps a good luck!

There is probably a youth theatre if you can find it. Try Act One Studios for lessons and inquire there.
