yes album sales are dropping
every music has is point where it just stops being and another music derives from it
its simple as that. hiphop is not the be all end all of music
i love hiphop with all my heart. but every magazine agrees, album sales are dropping as well as interest.
everything comes to an end and theres nothing wrong with that

Most of what your hearing on the radio is not Hip Hop. It's rap. Is it dying down? No. When you have rappers (not hip hop artist) like Mims saying "I can make a million saying nothing on a track" which basically means just give me a dope beat and people will like it. Now what we need is radio stations to play more hip hop, and not call everybody that raps a hip hop artist.

Unfortunately, main stream rap gets bunched together with underground hip-hop. There's a lot of main stream stuff out there that sucks, but underground hip-hop is amazing music.

Nope.
Hip hop is still the #1 selling music genre.
I don't necessarily like the way rap has evolved in recent years, but young people are still spending billions of dollars on it. Sorry to burst your bubble, but it'll never go away. Not even close.

No, in fact its on the top charts in America. What is falling down is GOOD hip hop songs. They have posers like Mims who make a song that could be written by anyone, and then have rappers rapping about being gangsta and how gangsta they are acting like posers, and then they are all popular with the white people who keep buying trash rap songs. Then you have Good hip hop artists and good rappers who work hard and their music comes from the soul who are barely getting By. And what about rock? Noone complains about that. Marylin manson, promoting occultism. Rock songs about cutting yourself and killing your parents arent on the news. Why? rock is just as bad as rap Lol. I Say the truth and i get thumbs down. People are so ignorant.

i shake my head at these kind of threads......
no hip hop isnt dying down, if that was the case you wouldnt have all these surburban white kids bumpin the music in their homes, and their cars...some of yall dont understand that hip hop is not limited to the united states, nor is it limited to the music...Hip Hop is a culture
so all you no life tightasses who think hip hop is going somewhere, think again
