Killer Tongue. A meteor hits in the desert and a chick who lives nearby gets some of the fallout and then her tongue gets real long, talks to her and kills people. And her two poodles become gay hairdressers. Pretty lame.

Possibly "The Birth of a Nation" would be the absolute worst. It glorified the KKK and slavery. As far as recent movies that have had a theatrical release, I'd have to go with Catwoman, because the writing was horrible, the effects were low-budget, and the directing was atrocious.
I have a huge list of movies that I'd consider to be the worst. There are also a lot of obscure movies that hardly ever see the light of day that are much worse than Catwoman. And then you have pornos...
UPDATE: Darkgoddess -- LOL! I was actually considering Manos: The Hands of Fate as my answer. I also saw it on MST3K.

Ghost Rider, hands down. The plot was good, except the acting sucked horribly, and the dialogue wasn't that much better. I mean, they could've scraped in a little respect if they had gotten someone really hot to play that middle aged man, but instead they got Nicholas Cage. *sulk* That movie was a seriously bad waste of ten bucks.

Reptie7 is right. Plan 9 From Outer Space was officially voted the worst movie of all time. I've seen it. It really is bad.......

Independence Day. i won't be able to have self assurance I have been given suckered in by skill of the merchandising and quite spent funds to confirm aliens wiped out by skill of importing a working laptop or trojan horse. Who knew bill Gates offered working structures to aliens.
