Have you ever reported someone on yahoo? Why? did it tell them that you did it?

I only report trolls and racists.

Once. They didn't like a response I gave which was truthful and blunt, but not harsh. And I made some good points. But instead of debating anything I wrote they chose to respond with a bunch of vulgarity, then kept emaling me with the same foul language. So I reported them.

I've reported people for spewing hate on here. It's anonymous. Yahoo doesn't tell them who reported them. I don't say things like, "So-and-so, consider yourself reported," as part of my answer, but some people do.

Yes, I have and for as many reasons as you can think of including bigotry. No, Yahoo! does not report your name to the person you've reported but for me...I couldn't care less if they did!

I suppose you are talking about yahoo personals. I did report two people - they are scam artists from Nigeria who eventually ask for money with heart-rending stories stories about both parents dead, mother left her in Nigeria, need money to get back to US or something like that:) I am not sure if they were informed of my reporting them, but their profiles were deleted in a few days.

I reported a guy who was preaching islamist hate speech on Yahoo answers. His "question" was removed. The reporting process is anonymous.

I had a friend attacked by name in a question and you better believe I reported it. The one who reports remains anonymous, but I am not one who would fear having the individual know it was I who reported it.

Yes I have, they deserved it & 99% of the people here would agree with me. They will never know you did it unless you tell.
A word of warning---- only report the trolls, if you report anyone else you are a troll yourself.

No it didn't tell them. I reported one guy who said a grody think about babies and kitchen knives. Of course Yahoo wouldn't make any of that known!

Yes I have because they were either too pornographic, adult content or just plain out of line. They need to reaize this is not an adult porn site we don't want to hear about that stuff here. Don't worry about them, you did the right thing.
