Dear friends from Yahoo Groups or Moderator of Yahoo Help,

I came to put forward a question from a very newbie whose trying to get a website to go online.

Now, I have made one page I call it landing page, with a header, little writing and some image pastes up. Then I have bought a domain. Then I have to buy a hosting, right?

Now I'm stuck. It's not easy to put the domain through.
First I follow the cpannel, then what, where the FTP file becomes to be used? It is all mixed up, maybe it is the wrong way round, FTP first then cpannel?

Someone can help??

Thanks, Rita

If you have bought a domain then next you need to buy webhosting.
Once you have done that, you need to point the domain name to your new webhost.
Your webhost will provide you with the ftp address and password for your new site.
Now to upload your landing page onto your webhost you will need FTP software. This is free and easy to use.
I recommend this one:
http://www.smartftp.com/download/
Run the FTP software, and input your website's ftp address and password.
Once there, go to your 'public_html' folder and click on it to open.
This is where you need to upload your landing page - into the 'public_html' folder at your webhost.
You will need to call you landing page 'index.html'.
Just click on it and drag it across from your desktop or wherever it is on your computer.

Hi Rita
It is not absolutely clear, that you try to make. If you wish to create commercial website your domain is necessary to you, your hosting.
But if you have created one page and simply wish to look as people at it react, you can use a free-of-charge hosting.
Simply type in google: free hosting. The first that has got to me http://www.absolutely-free-hosting.com/.
I have some not used domain names and a hosting from one project. If it will be interesting to you that will be possible to think up that or.
