It's just a mild conditioning saline, but I'm afraid I might make my plant OD on the salt! Do you know if it will actually harm the plant?

I asked a question similar to this not long ago and for the most part it was a resounding no. However, some people asserted that they do water their plants with aquarium water. Of course, your tank should be completely cycled before you do because the ammonia and nitrites can be harmful to the plants just as too much salt can. Anyhow, I hope you find your answer.
Good luck

NO NO NO NO NO. If your plant are going to produce consumables NO. Plants require a PH (acidity) of 5.5 to 6.5. Fish tanks are much higher. The lower the number the higher the acid content. Each number is 10x more or less acidic than before. So a point spread of 2 is 100x and 3 is 1000x.

Yes, the salts will build up in the dirt in the plant over time and kill the plant. The effect is cumulative.

hi Snakeskin: i'm not one hundred% useful, yet i think of that the salt alters the covalent bonds of the H2O so as that when the water great heats, the consequent steam bubbles are actually not overly great inflicting the water to explode out of the container. it could additionally improve the boiling element bigger than 212f. For a funky trick, enable the water come to a rolling boil earlier you upload the salt. it is going to foam, then cool down.

Don't use the water from a saltwater tank. If it is freshwater and the fish live, so will the plants.
