im on birth control ( alesse ) and half way thru my pill pack I started bleeding...I know about breakthru bleeding but its been 8 days...is that too long? or is it normal...Im only on my second pack so it could just be my body getting used to it right?

It's quite normal during the first few months. If it happens again next month too then it means that your current pill isn't strong enough for you, so you'll need to go back to your doctor, explain about the breakthrough bleeding and try a new pill for at least three months. I had to try 5 or 6 different pills for at least three months each before I found one that didn't eventually give me breathrough bleeding.

I would stop taking it it could be a reaction but talk to your doctor that gave you the birth controll befor you stop call tomorrow is the best thing to do.

That's correct. I wouldn't worry about it. Just wait, and if you start really getting worried contact you doctor. You probably won't even have to go in for an appointment or anything, just ask to talk to a nurse. Good Luck
