Regarding a question I asked a member responded:
''People are naturally attracted to others who are higher than them on a social level. This is biologically imprinted in us in an attempt to breed better offspring.''
Anyway, I'll bet that your not attracted to the guys hitting on you because on a social scale, they aren't as high as what you would be attracted to. On the other hand, you are more attractive to them because you are higher. So they pursue you.
But you are attracted to a "higher up" who may himself be attracted to women who are higher than him, or at the very least the same level. Since you may not be high enough on the social level that he's attracted to, he rejects you.
Is this a 'love rule'?..
