Regarding a question I asked a member responded:

''People are naturally attracted to others who are higher than them on a social level. This is biologically imprinted in us in an attempt to breed better offspring.''
Anyway, I'll bet that your not attracted to the guys hitting on you because on a social scale, they aren't as high as what you would be attracted to. On the other hand, you are more attractive to them because you are higher. So they pursue you.
But you are attracted to a "higher up" who may himself be attracted to women who are higher than him, or at the very least the same level. Since you may not be high enough on the social level that he's attracted to, he rejects you.

Is this a 'love rule'?..

not true. Not everyone wants someone better than them, as they my feel threatened.

for example, a smart beautiful girl would hangout with ugly girls as this would make her look the most beautiful and attractive. and a dumb beautiful girl would hangout with those who are more attractive them them, and would never get noticed.

People can sometimes be attracted to other people based on love. whether or not the person makes them happy, and it does not matter if they were "Higher up" or not. Parents want "higher up", but individuals want happiness.

Well, it's a flawed explanation, sort of half true. If I could pin it down I would say that people are attracted by fame and wealth for a while, but it usually doesn't have much staying power. People are attracted emotionally by confidence, but that doesn't work without some money and can eventually fail. Confidence implies "can do" in life in general. An emotionally mature person has a lot confidence and love to give, but they want someone with there own supply also, not someone needy to drain them. A player plays on your emotions and you think it's theirs, they probably stole it from some other poor victim, like they might do with someone else's money. Emotional Intelligence, if you study it, will free you from this syndrome and make you an independent individual, not a needy one, and you're not likely to be fooled by your own need, as love is an infinite well within you. You will also be very popular and can choose the best, another mature individual fit for you. Here's a video that should give you a start on another important issue of which to be aware.

Men are attracted to women because of their looks. That appeals to them at first. Then their attraction changes as they get to know the women. But the first is how attractive they look to them.
