d. 0.4 meters
How would you show work on these.

I think its A, B, D then C.
Cause the smallest measure is inches then cm then meters then feet.
Am I right?
If not then show me.

This is a question I had when in high school and was challenging.
Maybe if you try it you might think the same.

It would be bcda.
I believe.

Basically, You would just have to convert all of them into one system =]]

But I am not gonna do your work for you.

BTW...It doesn't matter which unit is bigger, it matters how MUCH of that unit. See, .4 meters is actualy LESS than 16 inches. .4 meters is 15.75 inches. So there is a VERY slight difference, but its there

Let's use centimeter length and determine the ascending order of the lists of lengths.
1 inch = 2 27/50 cm

a. = 16 * 2 27/50
= 16 * 127/50
= 2,032/50
= 40 16/25 cm

b. = 26 3/5 cm

c. Convert to in then to cm:
= 1 1/10 * 12 * 2 27/50
= 11/10 * 12 * 127/50
= 16,764/500
= 4,191/125
= 33 66/125 cm

d. 0.4 * 100
= 40 cm

Answer (in ascending order or from shortest to longest):
b. 26.6 centimeters
c. 1.1 feet
d. 0.4 meters
a. 16 inches

The idea is to convert all to a single unit of your choice and then rank them. Since we use inches in the US (for the most part) I"ll convert all to inches
A 16 inches is 16 inches
B 26.6 CM is roughly 10.5 inches (1 inch = 2.54 cm)
C 1.1 feet is roughly 13.2 inches (1 foot= 12 inches)
D 0.4 meters is a bit under 16 inches (1m=39.37 inches)

SO from shortest to longer B C D A

B C D A

.4 m is 40 cm

2.54 cm per inch making 26.6 cm just over 10 inches

40 cm divided by 2.54 is 15.7 inches

1.1.ft is just over 12

The best thing to do is put them all on the same basis. I would suggest cm. 1 inch=2.54 cm and 1 ft=12 inches are all the conversions you need.
Roughly, the order is B,C,(A or D, they are pretty close).
