How does fireflies create light?

-How does fireflies create light?
-If I kill it, will there be something like light bulb there?
-If there something like light bulb, can I use batteries to power it?

Chemicals combine. There is no light bulb. You will get the glowing stuff on your hand and it will glow for awhile.

Well, it takes 2 fireflies to create light...
Fireflies create light by rubbing their butts
against each other...causing a friction that's
so great that not even firemen can put out !!!
