what do u do when your the giver and noone appreciates it or take advantage?

i gave a gift to my couin hes 13 and i called to talk to his mom he answers no thanku all i get is a she not when when she was and she hates me even if joking not funny

basically its other people to in family etc

serious anwers please and thank u in advance

People just do not have the manners they use to have.
Your 13 year old cousin was not taught how to say Thank You.
Seems his mom might be the same way.

I have a half sister whom is 29 years younger than I am.
I buy her gifts and hardly get a Thank You. It really aggravates me... I was taught to say Thank You.

So when I give her a gift, I wait for a Thank You and when she doesn't say anything. I just say Your Welcome and then she says, Thank You.

You may ask your cousin how he liked his gift. And then say well Your Welcome, if he doesn't say Thank you.
May work, may not.. Worth a try....

If you are feeling like people are taking advantage of you, then stop the habit before it gets the best of you. Your feelings matter too.
