early childhood education degree if I allready have the job.. I will not get a raise for it. But do you think it may bring me more job security where I work? I want to work up to director or assistant director someday if a position comes open. I am planning on getting the associates degree in it.

I would consider going part time at night to finish your degree. You never know in today's job market what is going to happen. Sometimes you have to think of things like job security and if you want to do the type of work you are doing now for the rest of your life. If the daycare were to close down in a week, would you be able to get another position in the field with the education that you have? Also, if you are ever as you said interested in applying to be a daycare director or assistant director you would most likely need at least an associates if not a bachelor's for that particular position.

You need to figured out what career you would like best and be more happy at.I think you should finished your childhood education since you'll all ready started it plus getting your degree will look better on your resume when the director or assistant director position comes a available. If you think you'll like and be more happier at being a nurse,CNA,or with computers than you should do one of those.Go with what your heart tells you to do and with what you think you'll be best at. Good Luck!

As people become more and more concerned about who cares for their children, I could see a time in the future when they may not let you do day care unless you have at least an associates degree. They especially may not license you to run a center if you don't have more education than is now required. So yes, I think you should finish your degree.

YES YES YES!
It will not only bring you job security and plus. If something happens so that you cannot work in the position you are in now you will have the associates degree to fall back on.

Absolutely. If you ever come to a point where somebody is looking at this kind of infomation you WILL want it. Just finish it off, otherwise you might regret it.
