The black nail polish was used to show attitude and a way of thinking among a small group of people which set them apart. Sound like you were just doing it to try to be part of that unique group. People who belong there won't be bothered by the change cuz that's who they are (like Suzanne) you on the other hand are jealous cuz the thing that was getting you attention before is being taken from you.

Black nail polish is in because it's classy. Emo kids aren't classy.
I'm sure if you dress like you're in the mood to die people will be able to tell the difference.

You don't need a special nail color to set you apart from the crowd. Get a purple Mohawk or something...

i guess not.i just don't wear nail polish.and when i do wear black nail polish,no1 calls me anything cuz they're afraid i might beat them up.idk why tho.maybe cuz i've been in lots of fights.but still,i'm not a mean person.just very strong for a girl my age.
