Congrats to you, keep her washed and waxed. In my opinion I would forget about the storage unit for various reasons. Just as well to by a good quality Bike cover(full) ,quality ones are moisture proof and are lockable, maybe have a alarm system installed, I use mine all the time and when I ride out of town I lock it with brake disc locks ,cover it , set the alarm and at night when staying at a hotel, I use a baby monitor under the cover, works great ! Gives me a peace of mind you might say. Of coarse I'm also packin my 38 snub nose.
Just remember A Harley - Davidson is an investment and yours is personal and not easy to replace, there's no two alike

If you plan on riding it often, I would not get the storage area. I own a 2000 Low Rider and a 1999 Electra Glide Standard; both are in a garage now. But when I bought my Low Rider back in 2000, I did not have a garage. I had that bike covered up outside for about five years and the bike still looks great. If you maintain it well and have the cover on it, you will be fine. The closer the bike is the better for me. Regardless where the bike is, if someone wants it bad enough; it’s good as gone. I suggest you get a good cover for the bike, alarm, beefy style cable lock and keep parked perpendicular in front of your car if that’s the case. I’m sure you have full converge on it,………… no worries.
See a couple of pics of the Low Rider at the link

Excellent bike. It should last you a long time.
Just be sure to chain it down in the storage location. Storage lockers have been broken into and the goods taken, sometimes without the property manager's knowledge.
If at all possible, store it with a friend or relative in their garage or home. It is much more secure and someone will be able to keep an eye on it.
Ride to live. Live to ride.

Congratulations on your new bike ! yes its a good plan if its inside and has 24 hr access and top of the line security . Some nights you may be out later than when it closes and cant get in . Is it a storage place that has only one way in and out are a chain link fence around the perimeter ,Theifs cut fences . Storage places are great if they are set up right .Just measure the good with the bad /peace

Find a condo complex with a garage near your condo. Find a small area (usually a corner), and park and cover your bike there. Don't take someones parking space.
Sometimes, owners will rent the space behind the cement wheel stop to you for a couple of hundred bucks until Spring. It doesn't interfere with their parking and takes care of your problem with the elements during the Winter.

Congrats!
As you know, I didn't put mine away, by choice.
If you are convinced the security is good enough, why not? As peace of mind, keep your insurance active. Or get renter's insurance specifically covering your ride.
Another option available to Harley owners: inside, heated storage through Harley-Davidson. The dealer who sold my bike kept sending flyers. Reasonable price, compared to the other options. Worth checking, at least.

the Dyna is longer and could take extensive turns than the sporty yet has a decrease seat height the sportster is taller yet i think of easyer to drop turning a actual low speed like turning to park and is not as advantageous of a trip maximum those that purchase sportsters wish they could have offered a miles better motorcycle interior a year or 2 of driving

A freind of my brothers had like THE sweetest Heritage Softail Classic stolen out of a mini-warehouse, back in the 90s I think? So I don't recommend those. Now THIS guy was purely PO'd and "well connected" and actually the guys who did it got caught, but ultimately, by that time all he got was pieces and an insurance check, and kept riding, but his heart isn't in it you can tell, he hardly modifies anything anymore, not getting "in" to a bike like the one that was robbed and stripped. So I don't know an answer for ya, the only crazy thought is do you have a patio door where you could roll the bike inside your condo? Just a thought. They have NO garages available at the condo???

Sounds good and Walmart has bike covers for $20 might be a good idea for dust and it might rain when not expected... Some storage have leaky roofs...
