i THINK that my fish has pop eye, and i've heard from all around that maracyn 2 will help treat it. but if it doesn't have pop eye, will maracyn 2 harm him if he doesn't need it?

If your fish has only one damaged/hurt/infected eye, this is most likely not popeye and is a fungus infection due to poor water quality or damage from rough handling or injury from something in the tank. If both of its eyes became infected at the same time, then it is most likely popeye. Either way, however, Maracyn-2 is a good treatment for the eye infection. Popeye is difficult to treat, but you have to try. Be patient. It will take a long time, but keep at it!

Yes. It will harm it! hopefully it does have Popeye so you can give it the medication instead of giving it when it doesn't need it
