I got some fathead minnows to use for bait but, I kept 4 for pets. Some had spots and some didn't. So I took 2 with no spots and two with spots. One of the none spotted ones died. I'm pretty sure they are fathead minnows. The males get those stripes at times. Just wondering. Thanks.

if the spots are around the head and gill and front fins area on your fish then that indicates that they are males
