Yes. I did some shopping for myself and for my son. Yes I saved about $75. Better in my pocket then in someone else. Hope this helps.

I bought a cute shirt from Express and some jeans on sale there. I don't really think you save that much money with the tax free thing though. Also, I don't believe it's tax free if you spend over $250 or something like that.

I did go shopping. But the only things I bought were iced tea and a jar of pickled radishes.

Tax free doesn't save much in Los Angeles, unless it's tax-free on top of sale prices. If it's tax-free off regular prices... I'll wait for a sale instead. Here our sales tax is 8.25%

linda- tax free weekend means that most of the stuff you purchase you dont have to pay taxes on it. sooooo, very popular. especially, when you save some money up to do a lot of shopping for that weekend. my friends and i saved TONS of money cause of it. you should look it up and check it out. it comes around every year with the school starting

Well tax is like 8 cents on the dollar so unless you spend some serious then you really don't save so much to make is such a big event. but i guees people like to feel like they have the upper had when i comes to buying things by being told that they're saving money. imo

Nope, couldn't. I have a fractured ankle and can't walk. In South Carolina you would save 8%, but our tax free weekend was a week ago.

Yep, didn't buy much. Rented some movies and bought my daughter a container of night crawlers from a bait shop (she's 5 and obsessed with worms) don't worry, their safe and happy....No tax free weekend for us. Heard about it before though.
