Well hmm let me see you should just say hi and see how it goes from there. it is hard being shy i know. You will break out of it if you have a best friend then she should help you break out of your shell.... you dont need a doctor...

To cure shyness, start slowly. Look at yourself in the mirror. Role play. Pretend your image is a stranger. How would you handle saying Hello to this stranger. Get out in a safe environment where there aren't a lot of people. Practice just saying Hello to someone, then walk away..Next time, say hello and stay for a few seconds, wait for a response. Practice with someone safe, like a parent or sibling or trusted friend.

My advice is that you take every single bit of courage that you have and do something that will make everyone notice you. Be audacious. Be daring. Be wild. Make yourself do it once and you'll find that the shyness you once had is nothing but a distant memory. Oh, it helps if you imagine everyone around you wearing nothing but black socks, too! I hope you come of out this. I honestly do.

If you are really concerned definitely go see some on but also try finding groups of people that are interested in the same things as you. I joined a belly dancing class and that opened me up a little.

Sounds like you should seek the advice of a professional: psychologist or therapist. They can refer you to workshops or groups for people who are in the similar situation.
Challenge yourself everyday to do something you would not normally.
Good luck to you.

My suggestion is not one of comfort but of getting out of your comfort zone. You just have to force yourself to take the initiative instead of withdrawing. You do this a few times and it will become easier. You'll see that nothing bad happens and that its easier than you think.

McLovin is right. Seek professional help, but stay away from the ones who will pump you full of drugs in lieu of counseling.

Let your personality be shown like you have done on here.
You are just as good as anyone else,so be yourself and enjoy life.

I just looked at your questions and only saw one asking for advice, so I answered it. I think you are expecting too much of yourself and thinking too hard about all of this angst.
