They think they are so great because they have an entourage following them around and blowing smoke up their ***.

Celebrities are the commodity.

Successful celebrities treat their careers like a business. When the lights go down and the cameras are off, they go home to their families and move on... Long after the gossip continues on the media.

They are independent contractors so its "out of sight; out of mind" in the entertainment industry, and their managers and agents know it. So, they continue to keep them exposed to the masses as long as their seems to be a market for their personality.

What fans have to come to realize is that they are "people" and some like being famous and others simply do not, which does not obligate them to have to sign an autograph or be approached for a photo op. It is a courtesy for them to be polite.

Really, I turn them off from my mind as their career will continue with or without any of our opinions, because there will always be a niche for the next wave of celebrities, so I think it's more important if you think non celebrities think they are great.

Believing in you,

LLJames

There are a few celebrities that might appreciate us fans but take us away and the celebrities are lost; up a creek without a paddle.

Don't you watch Access Hollywood and hear the stars say I'd like to thank my parents for getting me into show business and all of my fans, for I know that I couldn't do it without them, but I guess your right. It could just be a grin and bear it for the camera typed thing.

NO! Lindsay Buckingham of the 'former' & thank god now defunked Fleetwood Mac....is one of the most talented and kindest people I know...not in the least affected!!!! Oh he has his opinions, but don't we all?????His solo music is nearly underground....you must listen to it...heis like ten yearsahead of his time and have that group the musical magic that kept them afloat and brought life to Stevie's music.
He NEVER got caught up in the being famous thing..but i have seen it change a LOT of people first hand...sadly.

I agree, they wouldn't be where they are without the fans!
I understand they have stalkers and people following them all the time, it makes them stay away from people, but some of them are just STUCK UP!

No they don't think the fans make them. They feel their greatness makes us fans. In some cases, they may be right.

Who feeds their ego? The seasoned celebities do know, who butters their bread, Many of the young (I think) know but forget. Still their life is not as easy as one may think, we can tell by how mixed up they are by the confusion of their life, and
the trouble they cause themselves.

How do you know that they think they are so great? Come on, I'm sure no one is ignorant enough to believe the front that people put on in front of the cameras.......

no! Hugh Jackman actually will take the time out of a shooting schedule to sign autographs for and to hang out with his fans. and I've heard that George Clooney always takes time out to sign autographs no matter how busy he is.
