Family members
And why, because a stranger you either forgive, ignore
or stop being around them, where as a family member
has a bond with you that you can't just ignore. (Although
I know some people who don't talk to some of their
relatives and its sad).

Family members. Normally you would be more trusting and intimate towards people within your family. Therefore the hurt of the occasion would be deeper than a run in with a stranger.

I think its harder to forgive family members, they can hurt you deeply and you have to face them. It only gets really bad if they bring up the past.
With strangers they can't really hurt you as they are basically ignorant about you. Plus you will probably never see them again.

Blood is thicker than water - unless a family member becomes a serial killer you have to forgive them, complete strangers like friends, sometimes its best just to move on.
