I asked if any fans would honor Aaliyah in 6 days since it would be 6 yrs. of her passing. People who don't care about Aaliyah answered my question & said, "Who cares? She's dead!" & 1 person said, "What do I need to honor Aaliyah for & she's dead? What you need to be worrying about is praying for people who are gonna get hit by Hurricane Dean!"

That brought me to tears because I didn't even know about Hurricane Dean coming until after I just read the Yahoo! headline news. If they didn't care about Aaliyah & her death, they should've kept their cruel, evil comments to themselves.

We can do both - we can honor someone who is gone and we can pray for victims of a new tragedy.

I don't know why people are so limited that they are unable to think or do more than one thing.

I agree that was rude. I will remember Aaliyah and say a prayer on her behalf. No matter who died or when they died we need to remember those people. I think sometimes people are too occupied in other things that they are not thinking of people they may hurt or leave behind. God Bless

Unfortunately the open discussion of ideas that the internet allows will produce replies and answers that are not moderated and therefore disrespectful and impolite. I believe there is an abuse system implemented if you feel that some comments that have been made are unsuitable.

You remember Aaliyah's passing for as long as you chose, it's really nobody else's business.

Well, lets be honest here. Why would someone who didn't know her want to honor her? Sure, I liked her music and she seemed like a nice woman, but there's really no point in "honoring" her- she wasn't a friend of mine, so why should I?
