back in time! My mother has been dead for 45 years....( I was only 4). I would love to see her again.

I would rather go back in time. That way, my Mom would still be alive, I get to put in stock for things I know would make me a lot of money. I would not be in the job I am at today; I would have a career. In what, who knows, but, I would do something with all that money I have accumulated. Maybe I can flip a house. Take an empty lot, clean it up, and make it into a playground or a dog park.
Keep better contact with the friends I no longer see.
Between this and the future, going back in time would make me do all the things I didn't, wish I didn't and try to change for the better.

Future

I would much rather go back in time! I will live to see the future and when I pass away, why would I care to know more? Life will have certainly been full enough by then.

There are so many interesting events that have happened in the past I would love to be able to go back to any one of them and discover what "truths" existed that we don't know about. The people who made history have always been so very interesting and complex, as were the situations they found themselves in, I'd like to be able to sit and speak with any number of them in order to ascertain their real thoughts and feelings during their time here on earth.

I have a friend who loves to participate in a game we call, "Let's Invite 12 People For Dinner." We choose a topic, it can be anything, and go from there. For example...invite 12 of your favorite Movie Stars, Writers, Comedians, Political People, Singers, Painters, Warriors, Scientists, Mafia Figures, Royalty or Infamous People like Jack the Ripper, Lizzy Borden, Charles Manson or Aileen Wournos. The lists are endless, interesting and fun.

Shakespeare once wrote, "What is past, is prologue" and I agree with and love the quote. The past is rich with context and meaning. The future can only hold what the past and present will lend to its foundation. Interesting too, but not for me!

First I would have to assume that if you went back in time nothing could be changed.

In that case I would rather see the future as long as I did not see the future of myself or my family.

I think I'd like to do both...First the future to see what is happening to the world, my life and the lives of my family...then back so I could do whatever it takes to make it all better...isn't that the thing most of us want...to make life better?
Now if you were to make me choose one over the other I would say back...I have always felt I was born in the wrong time...I am a naturalist and herbalist and think I would find my ways a lot more accepted in an earlier time...

I would pick into the future because you can already read and learn about the past, but nobody knows what the future will be like, so it would be really cool to be the first one to find out all the new stuff they have and how they dress, etc. that would def. be an awesome trip!

I'd like to go back in time, pick up some interesting collectibles dirt cheap, and bring them back here, or even into the future, where they are worth lots more.

Imagine the economic possibilities of being one of a limited number of time travelers!

Back in time. I would love to have lived in the 60's and early 70's as a young adult. Woodstock, free love, etc. Life was simpler and safer. The world was more unknown at that time, people could be naive and still happy. Not as innocent as the 50's nor as corrupt as the 80's. And all that gold, green and orange. Fake wood paneling, shag carpet, how could you not want to go back to that.

Oh! Into the future because maybe the world will rectify the mistakes we are making now and it will be a wonderful place to live along with the other races that have been found throughout our galaxy.

Into the future. My past hurts too badly, & people advise me to let it go. I hope my future is better. I envision myself to have more money to be able to afford luxuries in the future. I'm so poor right now, I can BARELY live off of necessities!
