I am bored and depressed and on most days I don't even feel like living.

I've been reading about Ouija boards and they seem interesting. I don't know if I believe the stories or not but I thought I would buy one just for the hell of it and play it by myself and see what happens. At the very least it might provide a little diversion from my depression.

Should I go for it?

Wow, I can't believe how many people are afraid of a piece of wood. I, as well as several other people I know, have used the Ouija board many times and never once had anything bad happen as a result. I even once talked a neighbor of mine into trying it even though she was afraid and believed the stories that it'll let evil spirits in and all that stuff, but did anything happen to her either? Nope. I hear many people say, "I know someone who used a Ouija board once and had this happen to them..." but this sounds more like an urban legend to me. Just like the urban legend of a girl who was killed in an accident on a night of a dance, and now everyone knows someone (no matter what part of the US you live in) who has seen this girl standing along side the road wanting a ride only to disappear when they reach the graveyard where she's buried...blah blah blah... Go to any urban legend website and they'll tell you there's no truth behind this story. And I'm absolutely confident that there's no truth behind the Ouija boards are evil story. I mean, if there really was so many people being harmed by these things, wouldn't there have been enough people to complain to get these things pulled off the shelves, or at least have some sort of official investigation into the claims? Or they would have convinced enough people to stay away from the product so that the company would pull it from the shelves on their own (no profit)?

Anyway, with that said, it's unlikely you'll be able to use a Ouija board on your own. For some reason, it usually takes at least two people to make it move. There are a few people who claim that it works with just them alone, but not many.

If you do get one, don't take it seriously. It will be your subconcious that's moving the pointer (hence the reason no one believes it's them that's moving it - keyword *subconscious*), so it can reveal your innermost thoughts which, in a depressed state, will probably not be something positive.

Just treat it like the game that it is, recognize the science behind it and don't fall for the superstitious beliefs (there is such as thing as self-fulfilling prophecy, so if you believe something bad WILL happen, then your subconcious can find a way to make that something bad happen - psychological fact).

Hehheee you might try a CLEANSING first. Pretty much every religious and none religous mentalities have the means to get rid of a person's ickies. ICKIES are things like fear, confusion, and other 'negative' emotions that weigh ya down.

If you really cannot handle the reality that you created for yourself HERE, why open the door to another reality?!?

Ouija boards are just a THING---how a person uses it and the definitions that they choose to apply to a THING makes it good or bad and HOW.

From my experience, some people do have the 'natural' ability in sensing 'other'. Which can be a positive experiecne or a BAD one on how they see it. Many times they don't know they have the 'ability' until strange things start happening around them.

Other times, its ENTERTAINMENT---sometimes even to see who can create the BIGGER pile of BS.

We all go through this. Personally, when I'm in this state I don't want to open myself up to outside influence. When we're depressed we are more likely to accept what others say and spirits could use the gateway of the board to play with your head and actually make things worse.

Everyone has a different way of filling their mind and time. Personally I play games online. Do you ever do this? There's a hack-and-slash game that's free and fun. It has an option to be a member for $5 but you don't have to pay for it. Check out Dungeon Runners - it's a great break from reality - which is more important when you're depressed.

well i used to be very interested and i also read alot and i watched shows and all that but ouija boards have been said to be very destructive even by professionals that deal with the paranormal, and once you've started you can't go back i say seriously find something else that "interests" you so you dont regret it and so you dont get hurt you should never toy with things like that. and interest is no excuse to get a ouija board some have got it because they're married have kids and living in a home that may be trying to harm them and their loved ones, but never use that kind of stuff to joke no offense thats pure stupidity.

This is not a way to recover from your depression and this is not a way to amuse yourself during a depression. There are possible aspects of a Ouija board that require your full capabilities. Get over your depression first and this is often a long term pursuit so forget about a Ouija board.

Absolutely not! I think you need to do a little research on Quija boards. I know what you mean though. When my sister and I were younger, we used to want one. We didn't see the harm in them. But, we didn't really know just what they were exactly. They make them look like innocent board games or something, but they are not. Using a Quija board can open spiritual doors that you do not want to open. Satan uses them as a way of communicating with humans. I know that may sound stupid, but it is the truth. The truth is is that no one is actually moving the little thing on the board (you know...when someone says, "you're moving it." Then that person says, "no, I'm not moving it. She's moving it." And so on). Someone is moving it, just not someone human. Quija boards are very evil and dangerous. My aunt had one one time and dabbled in it a little bit. Then she said that strange things started to happen. She would sense evil presences all around her. The lights in the house and the TV would turn off an on. Just strange things. She had this ring that was like an eagle claw with a marble thing in the middle. She tried to get rid of it several times because it freaked her out, but it would always mysteriously show up. One time while she was using the Quija board, it revealed some name like Aba or something like that. She found out that this Aba was a guy from long ago and he was evil. Then the board disappeared. They tore the whole house apart looking for it and my grandma went into my other aunt's room looking for it and called out "Aba, where are you?" Then she saw the board in there. Eva swore she didn't put the board in her room, but it somehow got there. They tried to burn this board, but it wouldn't burn. Somehow they got rid of it and managed to make it stay gone forever. It was really freaky to hear about. So, do not buy one of them. If you did, you wouldn't have any clue what you are getting yourself into. They are really evil and dangerous.

i could advise not doing it. heavily, I 'tinkered' with a Ouija board as a teenager, and had an exceptionally, relatively undesirable journey. (i'm very spiritually delicate, which will have made issues much less complicated.) I additionally had a chum who attempted it. i don't understand the entire tale, as she'd on no account talk approximately it....yet i understand that she actual burned it (and her Priest replaced into by some skill in touch in a rite) in case you insist on attempting, remember that it is not a toy. you will doubtlessly charm to spirits, and in my journey, the spirits you charm to are actually not good ones. they are tricksters, bored spirits, stressed spirits who're attracted on your capability and the door you have opened. be careful and good success.

In my judgment playing with a Ouija board is like leaving yourself open to possible familiar spirits.

Let me recommend a book: "The Road Less Traveled" by M. Scott Peck.

God Bless You !

Ouja boards are as dumb and deluded as those who have faith in them. In an experiment on the Penn and Teller show called 'Bullsh*t' in which they exposed frauds and hoaxers they took a group of self proclaimed witches and filmed them using a Oujii board.
Half way through their sitting they were blindfolded and without telling them, the board was spinned 180 degrees. Such changes should not matter to the spirits unless the spirit they contacted suddenly became dyslexic as their 'messages from the other side' became gibberish.
Find another outlet.

buying a Ouija board when youre depressed will probably make things worse for you. it will be almost as if youre waving an antennae around, saying "hey pray one me because I'm already vulnerable." it wouldn't be smart to mess with one if youre easily moved from emotion to emotion.... but if i cannot convince you, then dont do it alone. invite a friend who takes that stuff seriously or doenst think it is complete Bologna.... the more people the better.
