I have an almost two year old who is just starting to watch TV and a four month old as well. I want them to know the true story of Christmas, and I would like to have a great family dvd for everyone to watch together each year. I want my children to understand the true story of what Christmas is and the meaning behind it. I want them to grow up knowing thier Lord, and not "Hey! It's present day!"

it may sound corny, but Charlie Browns Christmas would work, I know it may be juvenile and it is a cartoon but its a simple story about children learning the true meaning of Christmas, the scene with Linus given a speech to charlie brown about the meaning of Christmas I always remember the exact words and it touches the little kid in me, I always have shown it too my kids and they have enjoyed seeing it !

I don't quite understand- do you want a Bible story DVD or what? If you want Bible stories, I'd say check out Veggie Tales. But another really great Christmas movie is Miracle on 34th Street.

The Nativity Story which came out last year is probably a good choice. It would probably be over the head of a two year-old, but it's rated PG so it wouldn't be inappropriate.
