It will take your body a while to get it's normal cycle down....don't be alarmed. It's all normal. Mine was never normal...I can go for months without it and months with it. I never know...and I'm 30! But you generally can tell when it is coming....PMS. moodiness, cramps, tender breasts, cravings, etc. Your body will figure itself out...give it time. In the meantime, speak with your mom, sister, aunt, doctor, etc....or read a book about it. It may help to settle your nerves.
good luck and welcome to womanhood! (oh....and congrats on staying a virgin....keep it that way!!!)

When your period first starts it can be quite irregular while it settles into its own pattern. Some peoples periods remain irregular, but most will settle within the first 6 months or so into something a bit more predictable.
In saying that though, you shouldnt be timing it like 'first week of the month' as months are not always the same amount of days. An average cycle is 28 days, so it will not always fall at the same time each calendar month. Just count how many days from the start of one period till the start of the next one. Keep a track of it and it should start to become predictable over time.

It will take a while to get it normalized. I got mine and it lasted 2-3 days and then didn't get it again for 2-3 months. After half a year, it settled in at 21 days off, 5 days on. Some gals never get it regulated (many go on the pill to do so).
My recommendation is to just count the days on and off...see if it turns out to be pretty regular (plus or minus 3 or so days). If it never normalizes and it bothers you, go see your family doc.

It will probably come next week. Your body is new to the period thing and the hormones. It is still adjusting and so your periods may vary some especially the first year. Sometimes stress, exercise, and diet can delay your period also.

oh not to worry. some people have very regular periods, but the majority have irregular periods based on hormones, excercise, diet, stress, etc . im 30 and my period is never regular. it comes on monthly, but sometimes it starts on the 5th and sometimes the 10 , 15, 20 etc. so dont worry. it will show up. sometimes some people even miss months, though if this is your case, u can just visit the doctor and they can help you get more regular. but if your not sexually active, irregularity is really not so much to worry about

It takes at least 2 years for a cycle to regulate. Don't worry about it. There isn't a way to predict when you will get your next one. It could come tommorw or it could come 2 months from now.

For the first year of having your period they will be very unpredictable and irregular, it's completely normal. They will regulate themselves out on their own within 1-2 years of having your period. Best of wishes!

it is normal, your body is just going through a lot of changes right now and will take a while before everything regulates itself. Some never do have regular periods though, everyone is different, so just give it time :)

Don't worry. This happens to everyone! When you first get your period, it may take 1-2 years for your body to adjust. :)
