how long is your period suppose to last?

an average of 7 days. See your gyno - 9 days is a bit much, but may be perfectly normal for you.

Every woman is different. Sometimes periods can last as few as 2 days and as many as 10 days on average. Mine usually last 5 or 6 days. Yours is normal, so don't worry.

It's a bit long, but not something to worry about. You are also mentioning something that seems like one time...not an ongoing thing. I believe periods can last anywhere from 3-10 days and still be considered normal. If you are very concerned, ask your family doctor. My cycle was 5-21 every month. But some gals never have the same cycle twice!

It really depends on the person. When I first started getting mine, it was really sporadic. Sometimes they would last for only a couple days, sometimes for a couple weeks. There is no "normal" period time, but a lot of people I think have it about 7 days. You're probably fine, but if you are concerned go talk to your doctor.
