Hi.

♥ Do not overfeed! Stick to your baby's regular feeding schedule. Overfeeding makes it worse!
♥ In the formula-fed baby, try a completely low-allergy formula (e.g., Nutramigen, Alimentum or Pregestamil). It is worth the expense of a week's trial to see if the formula is at all contributing to the colic.
♥ When the anxiety, fear, and tension get to be too much (or perhaps an hour before!), try to have someone else watch the baby, even for an hour, and leave the house. Try to keep a positive attitude.
♥ Try walking the baby in a front pouch style carrier with his legs drawn up and pressure off of his belly.
♥ Many babies are soothed by rhythmic, steady movements (like rocking gently) or sounds (like running the vacuum, or having the clothes drier within earshot).
♥ Wrap the baby firmly in a comfortable blanket ("swaddling").
♥ The concept of laying the baby on a hot water bottle or heating pad has frequently been suggested, but extreme caution must be used because of the obvious danger of burning an already-screaming baby!
♥ Rock baby on your knees. Sit on the edge of a chair with your feet shoulder width apart. Bring only your knees together and place baby face down, head out between your knees. Gently bounce your legs and sway from side to side.
♥ Dance with your baby to some slow music.

Over the shoulder back patting worked the best. Air in the lungs is the problem so a collapsable sack inside the bottle works well. Watch him when he sucks.

there are meds to help colicky babies..talk with your Pediatrician..also set the baby in its car seat and place it on the dryer..somehow the vibration seems to help. Remember this too will pass, usually by the time the babe is 3 mo old..It is miserable for you both until that time..Sorry..

Do not be afraid to ask for help. Some women are too worried about bothering their mother or friend to help them, but most of them really don't mind helping. All of us mothers deserve a break now and then.

sometimes a bit of cooled boiled water can help,
also carrying the baby facing forward, lying down your arm, so their resting their cheek on your arm near your elbow. and your hand is holding them between their legs. i think they call it sleeping lion!!
it's the pressure on their stomach that's suppose to help!!
