Be cautious, some females can fight too. I would say only a few (2-3) But please be carefull! Females don't always get along well.......

you can have up to 10 female bettas in a 7 gallon tank. dont keep 2 or 3 because they will fight all day. keep about 6 or 7 to even out the agression. after a couple of weeks they'll get on fine. and they're much nice in a group of 6 or 7

OMG, all these bad answers

you could fit up to 4 females in a 7 gallon tank, not more

as example in a 10 gallon you could put up to 5 females plus 2-3 cory cats (bottom feeder)

one male betta, three female bettas and a freshwater mystery snail is the best setup for you.

one because all bettas male and female will fight if you divide the tank then you can get more; also keep the male and female separate
