If a person buys a home and use's their foundation
name instead of their own, are they trying to escape
paying property taxes or are they trying to hide
something.

you cant escape property tax, the state will collect any past tax at closing of the next sale, even if decades and large sums. The government beauracracy lives longer than people.

they may also be trying to save legal fees and delaying paperwork after their death by putting it into a foundation now.

they may not want thieir names to appear on public records
that can be searched by identity theives.
