Scotland, but they are known as hogmanay parties.

Malta-they have Maltese new year at 12 and an English one at 1 through the time difference.same with Christmas parties.

The Netherlands. Fireworks, drunken neighbours wishing you Happy New Year on the street, champagne ... it's the best craic. Not THAT kind of craic ... the genuine and elusive kind that does not involve the ingestion of illegal substances!
