I prefer it in general, but not in traffic.

I was forced to drive a stick because when I was younger, many years ago, this car salesman wouldn't give me back my down payment until I bought a car from him and that was a stick. That was in WI and now I'm in Chicago where having a stick is not fun because traffic is horrendous.
I like driving a stick because you seem to have more control over a car but an automatic in Chicago is less arm energy.

Yes I can.
I like that I can drive a stick or automatic. I feel like I have more control when I drive a stick and my hubby is always telling me that manual transmissions last longer than automatic. But, as I get older...I think I prefer the automatic.

I don't have a clue why you would prefer driving a stick. I prefer driving an automobile. Of course it would also depend on where you drive the stick. I imagine you'd get great mileage or is that smileage? LOL

In an extreme emergency, I could drive one. I first learned how to drive on a stick, but I was never able to make it a smooth ride. I took my test on an automatic and I haven't looked back since.

I do know how, but I'm "out of practice" because I've been driving an automatic for the past 6 years! I think I'm too lazy for a manual trans now! And besides, there is way too much traffic in Houston!

Yes, but I'm not that great at it because my step mom just taught me and she won't let me practice on her truck until the check engine light goes off, but it's been on for three months now. I have to stick with my automatic corolla.

Yes I do drive a stick & I love it. Makes me go the speed limit on those early mornings when no one's out except me & the cops.
