I had my last depo injection last july, still havent conceived, how long will it take?

According to my doctor it takes anything from 6 to 18 months. If after that you're still having problems go see yours. Some people just need time to get pregnant whether they're on the pill, injection or none of the above. Stop worrying and get stuck in. Early nights, late mornings and all the fun you could possibly imagine............GO FOR IT!!!!!

hi, i came off my depo last april, and did not get my periods back til feb this year i was on the depo for 4 years.
when my periods did come back they were every 14 days, i am only just starting to have normal (ish) cycles and still havent conceived, so it does take time. my doctor told me it can take up to 18 months to get periods back and up to 2 years to get pregnant, so its just a waiting game. it is frustrating though, i am taking agnus castus atm which is supposed to regulate your periods, i dont know if it has worked yet as i havent been taking it long enough but give it a try and good luck xxx

Hiya hun,

I've been off the injection for 21 weeks and I've still not had a period, I was on it for a yr. I asked my GP and he said 'How long is a piece of string!' If you haven't concieved by Xmas, I would go see your GP hun.

Yeah i have heard many stories that after the injections it can take a while to conceive....hopefully this wont happen to you

i was told that you need to take as long as you were on the shot. for instance.....i was on depo for a year and once i was off of it for a year i was able to conceive. hope that helps a little.
