i suspect that my 2 grand-children are in danger, 1 being a type 1 diabetic, their father is a crack user, and has taght these two children, atleaset the oldest being 7 how to lie, to cover for him, he does his drugs in front of his children, and now he has talked his wife into going into the service, she has been gone now 9 week, and since she has been gone the baby gil developed the type 1 diabetease, which does'nt even run in either side of the family, he's been know to take the children to friends houses and be gone forserveral days at a times after his wifes money comes in, becase he does'nt work, and he lets the 7 year old boy take the blood reading when and if it does get read at all. if he dont want to deal with the small girl crying he will give her candy bars, all of this been witnesses by family members. at times but the mother has been so brain washed by her husband she reuses to listen to the family. shat can be done with her in tx. now.

A) If you know about this going on and you don't report it, you are just as quilty as the father.
B) The Department of Social Services WILL ( repeat) Will take any report seriously. Especially if two children are involved.
C) Let the authories know about this NOW!!!!!! We live in a time where child abuse and neglect are being delt with, instead of it "being a family secret".
D) How much do you love your grand-children? Are you and the rest of the family willing to go to their funeral, look their mother in the face and say "I wish I had done the right thing".

This behavior is far worse than simple neglect. You need to step in on behalf of these poor babies and call children services and alert them to the situation. Why would your daughter go off to the army and leave her small children with a crackhead? she must not be wrapped too tight either so those poor children have no one but you to look to for the help they so desperately need. If at all possible offer to take them into your home because they will need more love to heal then the system will provide but even that is far better to the fate their "father" is providing for them

I think that you should call the police and report him for neglect. In a way, I think that neither will do nothing. My daughter told me that her father had done some stuff that he shouldn't have and I reported it to child protection and the state police and we have been to court for a long time and there won't be anything ever done to him. But, it won't hurt to try. The little girl with diabetes needs to be taken care of. If it isn't watched and treated properly stuff can happen so quickly. Good luck.

The kids are your main priority. Dont worry about what anyone else thinks, you have to report this to child services immediately before any more harm can be done to these children. If you do nothing then these kids will end up being so screwed up. Act now and because of the kids ages, Im sure child services will act immediately.

call child protective services AND the police. when i needed to call CPS on my ex, i went to the cops and once the cops got involved, CPS was prompt about it. CPS can be a joke, but then the caller needs to be a little, say we say creative in the wording of the report. the more urgent it sounds, the more immediate the response will be. i had a aunt call CPS on her own daughter. said her own daughter was past out on the living room couch with a bottle of rum, cockroaches were in the baby's bed, and there was no food in the house. CPS was there in an hour. Everything that crazy aunt reported was a lie. she was only upset because she found out her daughter had went out the night before and didn't pay her to babysit the baby instead of someone else. report something, anything.
start showing up to visit, bring food for the kids, show up with a warning you are coming, show up unexpectedly. ask to help him clean up so he can take a break. if he leaves, search the house. if you find anything, don't touch it! call CPS. they will come down right away.

You contact Child Protective Services. Do not wait. They are always open and ready to help you. I have been a foster parent and know first hand how fast they are to help. Do something now before you are sorry later. Just the fact that he uses drugs will get them involved. I hope you can be there for them, as they are going to really need you. Good Luck and God Bless you and your family.
Go look up the phone number for PS in the county that he lives in. You can even use google to look up the number.

First of all Diabetes isnt anyones fault and you should contact police then child services immediately because a child with type 1 diabetes can get very sick if not properly taken care of and given a proper diet. You should get temporary custody and file a petition right away. Why would you leave them with a crack abuser? Im not sure what state you live in but we were allowed to take a baby when her parents got arrested because we were family and the police allowed it.

If you think this is an emergency situation, call the police. Otherwise, contact Social Services in your area or child welfare. Certainly someone at either of those places can advise you concerning what, exactly, steps to take to insure these children's safety.

Child Services will probably take too long. You need to get some evidence like pictures, witnesses, videos ANYTHING! Then call the police. Do it soon or these kids can get hurt.

notify your local authorities of what you suspect, and since there are children involved things will happen real quick. No harm in checking out what could be a disasterous situation. If no response frommthe authorities, notify child social services, good luck
