I WOULD SUGGEST PUTTING THE BAGS IN A CONTAINER THAT THE BIRDS CANT GET TOO, LIKE A TRASH CAN OR METAL CONTAINER OR BOX

Spray them with a solution of household bleach and tap water. You want to test it first to make sure it's not so strong that it weakens the trash bag, which is why you should mix it with water to dilute it. A strong bleach odor generally keeps animals from being able to smell the garbage odors and they lose interest quickly. It's worth a shot anyway. Let us know if it works for you.

Can you put them in garbage cans? Or wait until early Monday morning to set them out to the curb.

You might want to invest in a heavy-duty garbage container. I don't worry about crows, but there are stray dogs, cats, and raccoons around here.

Put it in a can with a lid. Other animals can tear it open as well. It is coyote bait.

Try animal safe bug spray. It kept my cat from chewing on wires. Plus you'll be bug free :)
Or get a scarecrow ^^
