I need to connrct it to may second desktop downstairs. What equipment do i need. I think i need either wireless USB adapter or network card. I am going with USB card if i have to buy an equipment. But i dont know if i have to buy one specific to my wireless router. Please help me out. Thank you

You need a wireless adapter (dongle) which you shove in the usb. Get a good one and pick up any wireless router signal. Thats it, and they're cheap, I use one with my other laptop and pick up signals everywhere. >> http://www.shopmagenta.com/category/33.aspx?ppc=b336d228-712d-499b-8494-1bd7ac37f467
They work fine with desktops too.
