I@m writing this on behalf of a mate of mine, and we need some questions answering. My mate has split with his wife of ten years last year and there are going through a messy divorce. Last week his son went home to his mum after a visit with his dad and told his mum that his grandad was hitting him and now my mates wife had got in touch with the lawyers and told them her sons grandad is abusing him and belive me there is not a chance on earth that this has happened he is not like that and is not left alone with him. we all know what kids are like he is only 3 and things can be put in their minds.....His ex wife is wanting some conditions put in the divorce papers as to him never been left with his grandad again. Also after all this she is still letting her son go to his house this weekend now if this has happened would you allow your child to go this weekend???

Is this right? what can be done? Will it stand up in court?

Anyone can be charged with any crime at anytime in this country. Now the point is there has to be enough concrete evidence to justify the charges and there doesnt appear to be any here other than a 3 yr old and that wont hold in any court of law. Now if there wee visible sgns of this abuse the police would have arrested him immediately. Now unless he is tried and convicted ,the ex wife wont stand achance in court for her wishes. This comes under vthe games spouse play with each other in a divorce. Nothing to worry about here. Watch and see if ex wife tries and "coach" the 3 yr old on what happened, wich is a crime in itself; contributing to the delinquancy of a minor. Turnabout may be fair here if you want. Good luck

well, i would just like to say, the lawyers and the courts do look at everything, on one hand she is saying grandad is abusing him, but she is still sending him there. so that cant be true. or no mother would let her child go. just find out why grandad hit him, thats if he did just incase your lawyer asks. but as for her, just take it with a pinch of salt. good luck.
