I think it is what you think of yourself. A lot of people have to show attitude to cover up their low self-esteem. But, I think you can factor in a little of what other's think of you also. They don't like to be shown up so it is easier to act like a jerk beforehand.........saves face a little

i know a lot of people who think a whole lot of themselves that other people don't think about at all. so, i probably what you think of yourself.
